Winter hoops season is back! Every week, hundreds of local kids take the court to build skills, make lifelong friends, and learn healthy habits. As a volunteer coach, you do more than run drills—you provide the positive leadership, safety, and encouragement that make the game fun for everyone. By bringing the YMCA youth sports philosophy to life, you’ll teach core fundamentals, serve as a vital link between our staff and families, and act as a role model who helps players thrive on and off the court. No professional coaching background required—just a passion for supporting kids and building community.

As an Aquatics Volunteer, you’ll be a friendly, welcoming presence on our pool deck! Working right alongside our certified Y aquatics team, you'll help kids and families build confidence in the water, support daily pool activities, and make sure everyone has a safe, fun experience. Whether you want to jump in the water as a lesson assistant or stay dry on the pool deck as a greeter or swim meet helper, we have both "wet" and "dry" roles so you can serve in the way that fits you best!
